Reforming our Government

It was only a while ago that Canada had a party called the Reform Party of Canada that tried to do some reforming of our government but wound up being swallowed up by the Progressive Conservatives and became the now governing Conservative Party. Many people I speak to are upset, and rightly so, that all the effort of starting a political party, then just to have it disappear into nothing more than another top down controlled organization was disheartening.

I thought about this situation when I started this party. I never want it to amalgamate with any other party. This is paramount if it is to be the vehicle for change in Canada. The Conservatives or Liberals would undermine the noble cause of true reform again, so they can continue their deceitful and controlling ways of governance. The founders of this party will write it into the bylaws that the party must always stand on it’s ideologies of reform and never surrender through giving in to amalgamating.

This party is all about constantly allowing the people of Canada to have a voice not just at election time, but also through out the 4 years of a majority government as well as lesser times with a minority government.

Referendums are one way to achieve the goal of input from Canadians on major decisions. Using the technologies of today such as the internet would allow Members of Parliament to poll their riding to get a feel for which way to vote in the House of Commons on issues.

Simply put Canadians would finally be in control of their government ALL THE TIME for the first time in history.

A hearty welcome to all who visit this website. What we are is a concerned and growing group of Canadians who want to get our Government back in line with reality. We want fairness and accountability. No more lies and deceit from any level of Government. We intend to register a federal party and then provincial ones as membership grows.

We will truly be representative of the people of Canada because we are all about holding referendums for reform of our government, including electoral reform, and senate reform.

We will also hold referendums for the following reasons-

1. Any time we are asked to have our armed forces involved in extra activities outside our borders.

2. Selling off of Crown assets

3. Any future bail outs similar to the GM bailout.

In short we want the People of Canada to be in control of their Government in between elections for major issues, instead of giving away our rights to decide important issues to a few people in control at the top of a political party.

If you feel as we do then please feel free to sign up and join the movement. When we have enough people we will proceed to registration.
